Next week the American Dental Association (ADA) is hosting their Annual Conference in San Francisco to help educate and build the dental industry. Thousands of dentists from all over America travel to this event to help improve their knowledge and skill in the dental industry. This past week, while planning his trip to the ADA sessions, Dr. John of Franklin Dental received some outstanding news.
While at the ADA Annual Conference, Dr. John will be inducted into the International College of Dentists (ICD) – Class of 2012. It is very hard to even be elected as a candidate, let alone to be finally inducted into the ICD. There are very few dentists chosen each year, so this is a huge honor for Dr. John.
The ICD is founded in devoting leadership, integrity and humanitarian outreach; principles that Dr. John himself values highly. Day to day, the ICD works with the international student exchange program providing dental students with funds to visit foreign dental schools and help foreign communities. Additionally, the ICD works with the Peace Corp and Fisher House to help families of troops serving in Iraq and Afghanistan.
This is a great honor and we will be sharing more about his experience upon return.
