On Wednesday, August 29, Franklin Dental is set to host SPA DAY: a full event in which Dr. John Olsen will be administering Botox and Juvederm (dermal filler). Who better to administer your cosmetic injections than your certified dentist who deals with your facial anatomy every single day.
What is Botox? According to botoxforum.com, Botox is "an injection that uses a refined solution of botulinum toxin type A which eliminates the appearance of wrinkles by blocking the chemical that triggers muscle responses...thus smoothing skin in the forehead and around the eyes for a more youthful appearance."
What is Juvederm? Similar to Botox, Juvederm also helps to rejuvenate the aging of skin but is "a dermal filler that uses a hyaluronic acid-based gel to literally 'fill-in' wrinkles and rejuvenate aging skin." But unlike Botox, Juvederm and other dermal fillers can also be used for "lip augmentation and to correct fat loss in the face".
